History
1500's
The Burgundy B&B was part of the Prinsenhof van Brugge (The Princes' Court of Bruges). This residence was a favored home for the Burgundian dukes. In the 15th century, they transformed it into a grand estate that included living quarters, guest rooms, a library, a donjon, pleasure gardens featuring a zoo, and an expansive bathhouse. Their lavishness and self-indulgence were unparalleled, making the Princes' Court a significant hub for political, economic, and cultural influence.
Today, the Burgundy B&B stands as a testament to Bruges' rich heritage, inviting guests to immerse themselves in a unique blend of history and hospitality. Guests can explore the beautifully preserved architecture, relax in the charming garden and even enjoy a breakfast inspired by traditional Burgundian cuisine, all while soaking in the ambiance of a once-royal residence.
